The aim of the workshop is to bundle the interdisciplinary discussions of Ancient Studies on resilience and vulnerability and build an (international) network to theses discourses. The focus will be on the discussion of theoretical approaches to resilience and vulnerability with a background of Ancient Studies as well as the development of workable operationalizations.
For this purpose, a workshop in the joint cooperation of the University of Bern, the RGZM, the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, the Swiss TAG and AG TidA (Swiss and German Theoretical Archaeology Groups) is sought. The format should be an open space workshop (e.g. world café) with an introductory keynote speak and different spotlights of the participants.
